Lamont Brown is a New York City-based performer, choreographer, and creative director originally from Long Island. He is a graduate of the Dance Theatre Conservatory at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Manhattan.

Lamont’s performance career spans the globe, with credits including the 1st National Tour of Funny Girl (understudying Eddie Ryan) and the 1st National Tour of Mean Girls (as Martin J. and understudy for Aaron Samuels). He starred as Andy Lee in the national tour of 42nd Street, performing the legendary choreography of Randy Skinner, and brought his rhythm to sea as a Tap Brother in Warren Carlyle’s After Midnight aboard Norwegian Cruise Line. He was featured as a tap dancer at Birdland Jazz Club with The Hot Sardines, and appeared on screen in Wu-Tang: An American Saga and Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall.

Regionally, Lamont has appeared in Hairspray, Singin’ in the Rain, and the new production of 42nd Street choreographed by Jared Grimes at both the Ordway Center for Performing Arts and Drury Lane Theatre in Chicago.

He has collaborated with some of the most respected choreographers in the industry, including Casey Nicholaw, Al Blackstone, Lorin Latarro, Jeff Whiting, Jason Sparks, Richard J. Hinds, Dewitt Fleming Jr., Shannon Lewis, Mary Ann Lamb, and Lisa Gajda.

As founder of LBCreatives LLC, Lamont develops original works across stage and screen. He is the co-creator, choreographer, and co-music arranger of Syncopated Avenue, a new jazz-driven tap musical in which he also stars. His direction and choreography for Aida at Studio Theatre of Long Island earned him BroadwayWorld’s awards for Best Direction and Best Choreography.

Known for blending jazz, tap, and hip-hop with classic theatricality, Lamont draws inspiration from iconic Broadway and the Rockettes. His work continues to push boundaries while celebrating rhythm, storytelling, and showmanship.
